Series 91 – A Look Back at 2024: What We Did Right and How We Improved

As we close out 2024 and look forward to the new year, we want to reflect on our achievements and the improvements we’ve made to become better than ever.

Business Team

We proudly identify us as the Client and Partner Relations team, emphasizing deepening relationships with existing partners over expanding new ones. From day one, our focus has been on valuing relationships over business, with AUM growth being a natural consequence of our efforts. This year, we streamlined our client review process to ensure consistent communication about their portfolios, focussing long-term relationships. Every conversation with clients and partners is meticulously noted, reinforcing our commitment to relationship-building.

Onboarding and Service Team

We simplified our agreements by removing the notarization requirement, significantly reducing the number of signatures needed for NR account opening. Automating our weekly MIS process has led to error-free and speedy delivery of accurate data for our partners. From a compliance perspective, we added a nationality filter to avoid transactions in restricted investments for US and Canada clients. Enhancements in corporate net banking have made client onboarding smoother. These improvements ensure that the quality of services we render to our partners remains top-notch.

Research Team

The research team has made significant strides by onboarding two analysts and a data science intern to meet growing research needs. We integrated AI-driven insights, big data analytics, and alternative data sources, enhancing our understanding of cycles and aiding decision-making. Internal knowledge-sharing sessions and lunch-and-learn events have fostered a collaborative learning culture. Consistently delivering high-quality earnings analyses and quarterly reviews has enabled data-driven investment decisions. Looking ahead, we aim to deepen the integration of AI and machine learning in predictive modelling and market sentiment analysis.

Operations and Dealing Team

Automation of Trade File Generation and Allocation, automating repetitive tasks has helped streamlining our processes and minimizing errors . The Performance Monitoring against Nifty Index is monitored daily by initiating the Daily P&L tracking. This has allowed us to make timely adjustments and stay aligned with our financial goals. We have Strengthened the Team by on-boarding experienced professional specifically to handle dealing. This addition to the team ensures that we have dedicated expertise to manage complex transactions and enhance our operational capabilities.

Finance and Compliance Team

We have standardized the distributors’ fee pay out calculations, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Invoices are now sent directly through automated systems, streamlining the invoicing process and reducing manual effort. A new template for monthly financial reviews has been prepared, facilitating a more structured and efficient review process. Implementing a maker-checker system in accounting and statutory workings has helped minimize errors and ensure compliance. We have also streamlined the preparation of vendor payment files by utilizing the database.
